Mia Mandineau, soprano

French soprano Mia Mandineau is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance at SUNY Fredonia, under the tutelage of Don Marrazzo. Her performances at SUNY include Fiordiligi in Mozart’s Così fan tutte, and the world-premiere of the opera Having Guests for Dinner by Nick Bentz and Robert Feng, in collaboration with /kor/ production and the Western New York Chamber Orchestra. She has also performed with WNYCO in the Winners Concert of the Progressive Musicians Competitions and as a soloist in Rossini’s Stabat Mater.

In the spring 2025, she will make her debut with the Buffalo Opera Unlimited company as Annina in Traviata and will continue her collaboration with WNYCO, playing Abigail Hunt in Glen Cortese’s new work: 221B (A Sherlock Holmes Opera).

Mia is a 2024 Buffalo District Winner of the Metropolitan Opera’s Laffont Competition and was a 2024 Studio Artist of Wolf Trap Opera. She completed her Bachelor's Degree at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam (CvA) and her Artist Certificate at the Musical Horizons Conservatory in Athens. During her studies in Europe, she performed as a soloist at the Megaron Athens Hall and the Concertgebouw.

In addition to her work as a performer, Ms. Mandineau is the founder of the successful YouTube channel L’Opéra et ses Zouz which includes partnerships with the Opéra de Paris, Detroit Opera, Festival d’Aix-en-Provence, Google Arts & Culture and more.
