TCCW Awarded Major Grant

BREAKING: April, 2020

The City Choir of Washington received an extension of the Bloomberg grant for a third year. The seminars and consultations with the DeVos Institute of Arts Management will focus on crisis management, marketing, development, and governance.

AUGUST 2018:

The City Choir of Washington is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a two-year grant through Bloomberg Philanthropies' Arts Innovation and Management program (AIM). This invitation-only program seeks to strengthen the organizational capacity and programming of small and mid-size cultural organizations within Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Denver, New Orleans, Pittsburgh and Washington, D.C.

The AIM program is especially exciting for The City Choir of Washington because, in addition to the unrestricted support provided by the grant, members of our leadership team will participate in specialized arts management training and one-on-one leadership consultation that will strengthen our long-term health and better position us to reach our organizational goals.

Bloomberg Philanthropies will develop curricula and conduct seminars for the program in partnership with leading experts, including the DeVos Institute of Arts Management at the University of Maryland, led by Institute Chairman Michael M. Kaiser and President Brett Egan.

We are very honored and excited by our selection to this program. We look forward to continuing to bring you the finest choral experience in D.C. and showing far and wide that The City Choir of Washington, under Maestro Robert Shafer, is truly, "a sound like no other."
