Choruses for Care and Compassion

City Choir is joining 30 other choruses—3,100 singers strong—in the D.C.-Metro area in the Choruses for Care and Compassion campaign to support and partner with the Capital Area Food Bank (CAFB). CAFB is one of the leading organizations in the area dealing with hunger and food insecurity. Their work is especially important now during the pandemic, and your donation can make all the difference to someone in need.

During this time that we cannot sing together, singers are turning grief into joy and using the collective power of the D.C. choral community to raise funds to support those in our community who are suffering the economic fall-out of the pandemic.

Your efforts have helped raise nearly $33,000,which equates to more than 82,000 meals!

September is Hunger Action Month. CAFB asked if we would extend the campaign past Labor Day in hopes of generating some additional donations to help bolster outreach and donations during HAM.

No amount is too small—every dollar helps!

Please consider donating and lending your voice to this worthy cause.

You might not hear us singing, but our voices have never been louder.

Hunger Action Month™, which takes place each September, is a time when people all over America stand with the Feeding America nationwide network of food banks to fight hunger. Alongside all 200 Feeding America network food banks, we commemorate Hunger Action Month by spreading the word about hunger in our communities, volunteering, advocating, donating and helping raise awareness about hunger.
