Tshegofatso Clement Baloyi, baritone
Born in South Africa, Potchefstroom. Tshegofatso Clement Baloyi is a multi talented singer and an actor who is currently pursuing a Master of Music Performance degree at the University of Kentucky under the tutelage of Dr. Everett McCorvey. Clement has won the Alltech Vocal Competition awards both as an undergraduate international transfer and as a graduate apprentice.
Clement has recently been engaged with Wolf Trap Opera over the summer of 2022 where he was playing Prince Ottokar in Der Freischütz, Elder McLean in Susannah and covered Germont in La Traviata. Some of his stage credits include Marcello (La Boheme), *Gianni Schicchi,*John Proctor (The Crucible), *Enrico (Lucia di Lammermoor), Silent Night, Madama Butterfly, Barber of Seville, Rigoletto, Magic Flute, Show Boat and many more. His highlight credits include working with the American Spiritual Ensemble, Cincinnati Opera, Opera Theater of Saint Louis, Wolf Trap Opera, Kentucky Opera, The Office N.Y, Opera in the Ozarks and so forth. In his journey as an artist, Clement has toured around the U.S including France, Paris.
Upcoming engagements include The Met district competition among other projects.
